剧情：

本片依据真人变乱改编：Carl Panzram因偷盗罪名下狱,在狱中结识抱有改造幻想的菜鸟狱警Henry Lesser,Henry对牢狱机构中的贪污及暴力变乱疾恶如仇,因而当Carl提出供给纸笔写日志的在理请求,亦赐与赞助。Carl在日志中认下二十条杀人罪行,同时尖利的表露了牢狱轨制的暗中无道。 最后Carl打逝世始终迫害他的狱警,被判绞刑。Henry在Carl的请求下亲目击证了Carl被履行逝世刑的进程。Carl逝世后,Henry经由多番尽力,终将Carl在牢狱里所写的日志出书。
